In the area of the Port of Zygi (Vasilikos Energy Center) the anti-terrorism exercise called "TRITONAS 2022" is taking place today between 8:30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m., with the participation of the Cyprus Police and the Port Authorities of Zygi.
According to a police announcement, during the exercise, virtual (unspoiled) fire will be used and there will be a large mobilization of police authorities, vehicles, sea coastguards and police helicopters, ambulances and firefighting vehicles.
It is noted that all the above are part of the exercise and there is absolutely no cause for concern.
The Police invites the public who may be in the area of the Port of Zygi during the above time to follow the instructions of the competent authorities.
Finally, it is mentioned that the coordinating role will be played by the Exercise Planning Team of the MMAD headed by the Commander of the MMAD.
