Following the decision of the Council of Ministers, dated March 22, 2022, the Ministry of Health informs that as of tomorrow, April 20, 2022, beneficiaries will be able to receive the booster/4th dose by arranging an appointment from the vaccination portal or through the walk-in vaccination centres operating in all provinces.
As of tomorrow, April 20, 2022, the booster/4th dose will also be available to healthcare professionals regardless of age, provided that the period of five (5) months has elapsed since the intake of the booster/3rd dose.
- For the granting of the strengthening/4th dose, an identification document (ID card, passport) and the license to practice the profession must be presented.
- Taking the booster/4th dose of vaccine is optional.
It is recalled that the administration of the adjuvant/4th dose is continued:
- persons over 70 years of age,
- persons of any age who live or work in nursing homes and closed structures,
- in immunodeficient and *immunosuppressed patients
provided that the period of five (5) months has elapsed since the reception of the strengthening/3rd dose
Inadequate and immunosuppressed patients may come to the free-to-walk in vaccination centres by submitting a medical certificate from a Specialist Doctor, or they can express an interest in arranging an appointment for vaccination through the attending physician, by sending a request to the e-mail address: 4dose@moh.gov.cy
*Immunosuppressed patients:
- In active therapy for solid tumours and haematological malignancies
- With a history of transplantation of solid organs receiving immunosuppressive therapy
- With a history of transplantation of primordial hematopoietic organs receiving immunosuppressive therapy
- People with hereditary immunodeficiency
- People with HIV Infection/AIDS
- People on immunosuppressive therapy including biological agents
- With regard to cortisone intake, it concerns people who have received or are receiving a total dose of ›10 mg prednisone/day (=8 mg methylpregnisolone) for one (1) month in the last six months.
- With renal failure undergoing haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.
Taking the booster/4th dose of vaccine is optional.
Hours of vaccination centers (walk in)
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00am – 3pm
- Wednesday: 8:00a.m – 6pm
- Saturday: 8:00a.m – 1pm
