A strategic cooperation agreement was signed between the "Archangel Michael" Palliative Care Centre in Paphos and PASYKAF on Friday, April 8, 2022. The agreement aims at the cooperation of the two organizations and their multidisciplinary teams, aiming at the holistic care of all people with cancer experience with relief and supportive care needs, both in an inpatient environment and at home.
The agreement was signed by the Executive Directors of the two organizations, Mrs. Mona Theocharidis on behalf of "Archangel Michael" and Mr. Nikolas Filippou on behalf of PASYKAF. They were attended by PASYKAR's palliative care physician, Dr. Kyriakos Stylianides and the General Pathologist doctor and collaborator of the "Archangel Michael" Centre, Dr. Natasa Mala.
The Executive Director of PASYKAF, Mr. Nikolas Filippou, expressed his great joy and satisfaction as, with the activation of the cooperation, the two organizations will upgrade the services they provide to people with cancer experience and their families, while at the same time they will focus on issues of education and upgrading the quality of their services. Mrs. Theocharidis, expressed in turn her own joy and enthusiasm for the beginning of the cooperation. She also stressed the importance of the cooperation for the patients of the Pafos District, as they will now be able to receive, through both organizations, integrated palliative and supportive care, while she added that very soon the "Archangel Michael" Center will be able to provide its services within the General Health System (GHS).
