Every day I receive complaints and complaints about students, who have been in danger of being swept away by passing vehicles at the intersection, at Tassos Papadopoulos Avenue in Paphos. The need to create an overground crossing on this avenue is more than imperative. This is stressed in today's speech by the MP of Paphos of DIKO, Chrysanthos Savvidis, pointing out that the stagnation observed for several years in the creation of this particular project, had cost the life of an innocent student two years earlier.
"This time we should act as a supplier and not as an instigator, mourning other victims", he stresses. "The complaints I receive constantly come from both parents and businessmen operating in the area''.
Aware of the interest and the action so far of the Mayor of Pafos, Phaedon Phaedonos, on issues related to road safety and in particular issues of student safety, I would like to ask him to speed up the procedures for the creation of an above-ground crossing.
Mr. Savvidis expresses his readiness to contribute wherever he can, in order to accelerate the processes of creating the project.
