In recent times, there has been an increased number of thefts from buildings under construction or other open spaces or buildings.
Perpetrators mainly carry out theft of metal objects, cables, pipes or other valuables.
In addition to the actions of the Police for the prevention and safeguarding of property, we advise the citizens as they themselves take preventive measures for the safekeeping of their property.
Useful tips for safeguarding property:
• No exposed property.
• Maintenance of a list with detailed recording of the details of the property.
• Storage of property in safe spaces.
• Upgrade of storage security with security locks.
• Installation where there is a possibility of alarm systems.
• Adequate lighting
• Area fencing
We call on citizens, in case anything suspicious comes to their attention, to immediately inform the nearest Police Station or the Citizen's Hotline at 1460 or at the telephone numbers 112/199.
