The number of building permits issued by municipal authorities and district administrations in January 2022 stood at 535. The total value of these licenses reached €165.5 million and the total area reached 158.0 thousand square meters. These permits provide for the construction of 640 housing units.
Compared to the same month last year, the number of building permits issued increased by 8.3%. The total value of these licenses increased by 3.4% and the total area by 10.1%. The number of residential units showed a decrease of -8.8%.
Building permits are an important indicator of future activity in the construction sector.
