The Ministry of Health announces that today, April 5, 2022, three people have died due to coronavirus, while 2,987 new cases have been identified.
Specifically:
- 3 deaths reported
- They concern:
- Man, aged 96, who died on April 4
- Woman, aged 71, who died on April 4
- Woman, aged 87, who died on April 5
- Total number of deaths with the final cause of COVID-19: 949.
- 207 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 30 in serious condition (ICU: 4 out of snorkel/6 intubated, PPE: 20)
- Percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination: 56.04%
- 13 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 84,718 diagnostic tests were performed
- 2,987 new cases were identified (total cases 446,999).
- Positivity rate in total exams 3.53%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 3,429 molecular tests were performed
- There were 287 positive cases
- Positivity rate 8.37%
Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):
- 81,289 rapid antigen tests were performed
- 2,700 positive cases occurred
- Positivity rate 3.32%
Tracking:
- 1,573 molecular tests were performed and 60 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 3.81%)
- 567 rapid antigen tests were performed and 50 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 8.82%)
Private initiative:
- 1,107 molecular tests were performed, 162 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 14.63%)
- 31,476 rapid antigen tests were performed, 1,779 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 5.65%)
Through the programmes of the Ministry of Health, 49,813 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 921 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 13,470 rapid detection tests identified 604 positive cases (positivity rate 4.48%)
Education
- Primary Education: 18,691 rapid antigen tests, 98 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.52%)
- Secondary Education: 10,582 rapid screening tests identified 61 positive cases (positivity rate 0.58%)
- Test-to-Stay: 4,258 rapid antigen tests were performed and 51 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 1.2%)
Other
- Nursing homes: 1,283 rapid antigen tests were performed, 51 positive cases identified (positivity rate 3.98%)
- Closed structures: 483 rapid antigen tests were performed, 3 new cases were identified (positivity rate 0.62%).
- Government Agencies: 479 rapid antigen tests were performed and 3 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.63%)
