Another four deaths due to coronavirus have been announced by the Ministry of Health, while 1,421 new positive cases of the virus have been identified.
Specifically:
- 4 deaths reported. They concern:
- Man, aged 58, who died on August 21, 2021 (declared late)
- Woman, aged 90, who died on April 13
- Man, aged 89, who died on April 14
- Man, aged 87, who died on April 14
- Total number of deaths with a final cause of COVID-19: 988.
- 157 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 31 in serious condition (ICU: 2 out of snorkel/7 intubated, PPE: 22)
- Percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination: 49.05%
- 10 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 67,206 diagnostic tests were performed
- 1,421 new cases were identified (total cases 464,204).
- Positivity rate in total tests 2.11%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 3,083 molecular tests were performed
- There were 177 positive cases
- Positivity rate 5.74%
Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):
- 64,123 rapid antigen tests were performed
- There were 1,244 positive cases
- Positivity rate 1.94%
Tracking:
- 126 molecular tests were performed and 13 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 10.32%)
Private initiative:
- 1,144 molecular tests were performed, 110 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 9.62%)
- 22,538 rapid antigen tests were performed, 782 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 3.47%)
Through the health ministry's programs, 41,585 rapid antigen tests were performed. 462 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 10,350 rapid detection tests identified 357 positive cases (positivity rate 3.45%)
Education
- Primary Education: 18,287 rapid antigen tests, 45 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.25%)
- Secondary Education: 9,630 rapid screening tests identified 34 positive cases (positivity rate 0.35%)
- Test-to-Stay: 1,426 rapid antigen tests were performed and 11 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.77%)
- Special Schools: 146 rapid antigen tests were performed and no positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0%)
Other
- Nursing homes: 1,248 rapid antigen tests were performed, 12 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.96%)
- Closed structures: 498 rapid antigen tests were performed, 3 new cases were identified (positivity rate 0.6%).
