Russia's invasion has not gone completely according to plan, as it seems disorganized, uncoordinated and slow to analysts.
This is the tenth day since the great Russian convoy with hundreds of military vehicles has not yet reached Kiev.
What is the reason?
The spotlight has recently fallen on the large military convoy of Russians trying to reach Kiev from the north of the country, without yet being able to be near the capital of Ukraine.
According to the latest information, the convoy, which extends over a length of 60 kilometres, has reached its head at a distance of 25 kilometres from the centre of Kiev, but still faces many problems to move.
Many speak of problems that the Russians faced during their advance with the resistance of the Ukrainians, mechanical damage and others, but a new theory comes to add to them, which perhaps shows the real reason for the long delay of the Russians.
What is the reason for the delay?
This theory comes from Trent Telenko, a former member of the American Pentagon, an expert in military history, and Karl Muth, an academic, tyre expert and adviser to the U.S. government.
According to this theory, the reason for the delay of the Russians is the cheap Chinese tires with which they supply their military vehicles.
Muth says that in the photos from the convoy that have been published, the vehicles carry cheap tires from China, which are far from being known for their capabilities and reliability. In fact, Muth acknowledges that these are the Yellow Sea YS20 that he has seen before in military vehicles in Somalia and Sudan, which are a bad copy of the tires for Michelin XZL military vehicles.
Experts also say that the tyres are in poor condition, and have also faced many problems with the condition of the roads and the mud in Northern Ukraine, conditions in which these Russian tyres have not been tested.
In contrast, in the southern part of Ukraine, where Russians move with more ease, the desert conditions prevailing in the Crimea and drought conditions in southern Ukraine, help their vehicles and tyres to respond more easily to the required conditions.
