Following a decision of the Council of Ministers, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism announces a "Subsidized Holiday Programme", for the three-month period from May 1 2022 to July 31 2022.
Tourist Accommodation (Hotels, Organized Apartments, Tourist Villages, Agrotourism Lodgings) and Tourist Offices cooperating with legal tourist accommodations, which may offer for the period from May 1, 2022 until July 31 2022, a maximum price of €100 (including VAT) for a double room, with breakfast, can participate in the Programme per day.
For the period from May 1st to June 9th, the minimum stay is two nights and for the period from June 10th July 31st it is three nights. The maximum stay per reservation is set at seven nights.
The Program provides for the payment of a grant by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism of €20 per room for each night.
Beneficiaries of the Program are all permanent residents of the island.
Businesses wishing to participate in the Program can submit a relevant registration form to the Deputy Ministry of Tourism. More details, as well as registration, can be obtained from the corporate website of the Deputy Ministry of www.tourism.gov.cy (announcements column).
The deadline for the submission of a declaration by tourism enterprises for participation in the Program is Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 13.00. The relevant lists will then be prepared for public information.
