If some of the amendments are approved, such as the incorporation of Strovolos municipality in Nicosia, Ypsonas in Limassol, Geroskipou in Paphos and Deryneia in Paralimni, then the Municipalities, from 20 pending before the Parliament, are reduced to 16, but increase to 17 if Aradippou is maintained, as suggested by DISY.

More specifically, DISY submitted the following amendments regarding the establishment of the new schemes: Inclusion of Strovolos Municipality in the new Nicosia Municipality. Integration of the Municipality of Ypsonas and the community of Asomatos in the new Limassol Municipality.
