BOOSTER 4th FOR 80+ AND 3rd FOR 12+ FROM 30/3 AT WALK-IN CENTRES

From Wednesday, March 30, the administration of a 4th and  3rd dose of a vaccine against COVID-19 will begin through the walk-in vaccination centres operating in all provinces, according to the Ministry of Health.

Specifically:

a) The strengthening/4th dose in the first phase will be administered to people over 80 years of age, to people regardless of age who live or work in nursing homes and closed facilities, provided that the period of five (5) months has elapsed since the reception of the strengthening/3rd dose.

  • In order to administer a vaccine to persons over 80 years of age, an identification document (ID card, passport) and the vaccination card must be presented.
  • This will be followed by an update on vaccination with a booster/4th dose of people aged 70 years and over, health professionals and immunosuppressed individuals.
  • Taking the booster/4th dose of vaccine is optional.

b) The booster/3rd dose will be given to people over 12 years of age with an MRNA vaccine provided that the period of six (6) months has elapsed since the 2nd dose was taken.

  • For the administration of a vaccine to people aged 12-17 years, an identification document (ID card, passport) and the vaccination card must be presented.
  • Taking the booster/3rd dose of vaccine is optional.

Hours of vaccination centres (walk-in))

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The walk-in centre for Paphos is the Paphos General Hospital.
