In the context of the recording of data by the Health Monitoring Unit, the Ministry of Health has updated the database it maintains on patient deaths, having recorded and verified all the data declared in the previous months in the Epidemiological Surveillance Unit.
As part of this test, it appears that the total number of patients who have died with the final cause of COVID-19 as of March 4, 2022 is 869, i.e. additional deaths, after the 861, reported in yesterday's daily announcement.
Specifically, the 8 deaths that were reported late relate to:
Woman, aged 60, who died on 13/04/2021
Woman, aged 87, who died on 15/04/2021
Woman, aged 60, who died on 02/12/2021
Man, aged 96, who died on 30/04/2021
Woman, aged 83, who died on 13/08/2021
Woman, aged 66, who died on 11/08/2021
Woman, aged 61, who died on 04/08/2021
Man, aged 87, who died on 22/07/2021
Therefore, as of today's daily announcement, new deaths with an underlying cause of death, COVID-19, will be added to the total number of 873. Of these, 534 are men and 335 are women.
The Ministry of Health updates its databases at regular intervals, aiming at the correct and complete recording of epidemiological surveillance data. For transparency purposes, the Ministry of Health will inform about any new data it records.
