Another two deaths due to coronavirus were announced today by the Ministry of Health, while the new positive cases of the virus reached 2,046.
Analytically:
- 2 deaths reported
- They concern:
- Woman, aged 72, who died on March 2
- Man, aged 55, who died on March 3
- Total number of deaths with the final cause of COVID-19: 861.
- 144 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 33 in serious condition (ICU: 1 off ventilator/14 intubated, PPE: 18)
- Percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination: 58.34%
- 17 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 98,468 diagnostic tests were performed
- 2,046 new cases were identified (total cases 328,657).
- Positivity rate in total exams 2.08%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 3,352 molecular tests were performed
- There were 258 positive cases
- Positivity rate 7.7%
Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):
- 95,116 rapid antigen tests were performed
- There were 1,788 positive cases
- Positivity rate 1.88%
Tracking:
- 197 molecular tests were performed and 25 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 12.69%)
- 616 rapid antigen tests were performed and 57 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 9.25%)
Private initiative:
- 1,719 molecular tests were performed, 193 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 11.23%)
- 41,322 rapid antigen tests were performed, 1,155 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 2.8%)
Through the programmes of the Ministry of Health, 53,794 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 633 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 13,809 rapid detection tests identified 402 positive cases (positivity rate 2.91%)
Education
- Primary Education: 19,850 rapid antigen tests, 60 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.30%)
- Secondary Education: 12,135 rapid screening tests identified 77 positive cases (positivity rate 0.63%)
- Test-to-Stay: 3,809 rapid antigen tests were performed and 33 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.87%)
- Special Schools: 627 rapid antigen tests were performed and no positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.00%)
Other
- Nursing homes: 1,672 rapid antigen tests were performed, 1 positive case was identified (positivity rate 0.06%)
- Closed structures: 203 rapid antigen tests were performed; 1 new case was identified (positivity rate 0.49%).
- Government Agencies: 1,073 rapid antigen tests were performed and 2 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.19%)
