Another two deaths due to the coronavirus have been announced by the Ministry of Health, while 1,730 new positive cases of the virus have been identified.
Specifically:
- 2 deaths reported
- They concern:
- Man, aged 81, who died on March 6
- Man, aged 94, who died on March 6
- Total number of deaths with a final cause of COVID-19: 877.
- 129 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 30 in serious condition (ICU: 0 out of snorkel/14 intubated, PPE: 16)
- Percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination: 55.04%
- 18 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 77,336 diagnostic tests were performed
- 1,730 new cases were identified (total cases 333,238).
- Positivity rate in total exams 2.24%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 2,688 molecular tests were performed
- There were 92 positive cases
- Positivity rate 3.42%
Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):
- 74,648 rapid antigen tests were performed
- There were 1,638 positive cases
- Positivity rate 2.19%
Tracking:
- 951 rapid antigen tests were performed and 77 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 8.1%)
Private initiative:
- 870 molecular tests were performed, 66 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 7.59%)
- 33,233 rapid antigen tests were performed, 783 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 2.36%)
Through the programmes of the Ministry of Health, 41,415 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 855 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 38,526 rapid detection tests identified 777 positive cases (positivity rate 2.02%)
Other
- Houses of well-being: 79 rapid antigen tests were performed, no positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0%)
- Closed structures: 1,859 rapid antigen tests were performed; 1 new case was identified (positivity rate of 0.05%).
