The death of a man due to coronavirus and 1,584 new infections, out of a total of 46,066 diagnostic tests, was announced by the Ministry of Health on Shrove Monday, with the total number of deaths and infections since the beginning of the pandemic amounting to 878 and 334,822 respectively.
At the same time, according to an announcement by the Ministry, the number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in public hospitals remains at 129, of which 27 are in serious condition.
According to the announcement by the Ministry of Health, the death concerns a man, aged 67, who ended on March 7. The total number of deaths with the final cause of COVID-19 is 878. Also, 129 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC, 27 in serious condition. Of this, 11 are intubated and 16 are hospitalized in PPE.
The percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination is 55.82%.
Also, 21 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
In addition, a total of 46,066 diagnostic tests were performed and 1,584 new cases were identified, with the total number of cases amounting to 334,822. The positivity rate in total exams is 3.44%
Moreover, it is reported that 2,756 molecular PCR tests were performed and 102 positive cases were found, with the positivity rate amounting to 3.7%.
Also, 43,310 Rapid Test rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 1,482 positive cases were found, with the positivity rate standing at 3.42%.
As part of the tracing, 834 rapid antigen tests were performed and 70 positive cases were identified, with the positivity rate standing at 8.39%.
From a private initiative, 859 molecular tests were performed and 59 positive cases were identified, with the positivity rate reaching 6.87%. 28,105 rapid antigen tests were performed and 925 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 3.29%).
Through the programs of the Ministry of Health, 15,205 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 557 positive cases were identified.
At the sampling points, 14,371 rapid screening tests were performed and 487 positive cases were identified (positivity rate of 3.39%).
