The aeronautical exercise between Cyprus and France "TALOS 2022" is taking place today, which is part of the implementation of the defence cooperation programme between Cyprus and France.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Defence, the training activity, which will take place in parts of the land and airspace of the territory of the Republic of Cyprus, concerns the virtual attack of targets by the French fighter aircraft and the reaction of the anti-aircraft systems of the National Guard.
The main purpose of the exercise is the control of the air defence system of the Republic of Cyprus and the training of the Personnel of the National Guard in real conditions.
