One of the two escapees of the Pafos Police Department, the expatriate Alexandros Sarkisidis, was seen today moving to Paphos and a large police operation was underway for his arrest. However, the runaway has escaped again from the police cordon and investigations to locate and arrest him continue at an increased rate.
It all began in the morning, according to our information, when a citizen informed the Police that in a car in the western suburban area of Paphos he spotted one of the two escapees of the Pafos Police detention facilities. An alarm was immediately sounded and shortly a police patrol spotted a suspicious vehicle that appears to have been driven by this escapee.
The expatriate wanted man located, as everything indicates, the Police in his wake and attempted to escape, but caused an accident near the mall of Paphos and after leaving the vehicle he allegedly escaped running and disappeared in alleys of the area.
Now the Police have created a cordon in the wider area and are continuing intensive investigations to locate and arrest him.
