KAMARES - PROCESSIONARY CATERPILLARS
Tall pine trees grace
many properties in Kamares. It is distressing to see them cloaked in
the white nests of processionary caterpillars that feed on the needles and
make the trees vulnerable to other pests and diseases. The caterpillars’
hairs can cause painful skin, eye and throat irritations to people and
animals. Many nests are in high branches and can only be removed via an
aerial work platform (aka cherry picker). Would any residents be interested in
sharing the costs of hiring a company to remove our nests? Contact Dana on 97
