A female police officer was suspended by decision of the Chief of Police, in the context of the investigation of the case of the escape of the two detainees from the detention centre of the Pafos Police Department.
PafosNet reports that suspicions against this police officer arose when the examiners of the case checked the CCTV surveillance of the detention centre within a period beyond the period of the escape. This inspection, according to the same sources, revealed disciplinary misconduct allegedly committed by the police officer in question, for the investigation of which her suspension was ordered.
