Filenews 17 February 2022
After the overflow of the largest dam of Pafos and the second largest in Cyprus, Asprokremmos, which has traditionally been the big issue for the water supply and irrigation of Pafos, we have stopped somehow to deal with the status of the dams since the sunshine has appeared and we have put water behind us temporarily.
It is, however, interesting to see where we are with regard to the other dams in the province, especially since meteorologists are predicting new rains in the next 24 hours.
The situation in the dams of the province in percentages of occupancy was as follows yesterday morning, during the last count of the T.A.Y., in relation to the corresponding last year's capacity in the same period:
Asprokremmos: 100% compared to 86.3% last year
Kannaviou: 87.1% compared to 67% last year
Mavrokolymbos: 50.1% compared to 57.7% last year
Evretou: 83.1% compared to 76.7% in 2021
Argaka: 100% compared to 72.8% in the same period last year
Pomos: 100% compared to 99.7% occupancy in 2021
Agia Marina: 93% compared to 53% last year.
