Seven deaths were recorded in the last 3 days in Cyprus from coronavirus, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Health. At the same time today, 2,549 new cases were recorded with the positivity rate standing at 2.61%.
The deaths relate to:
- Man, aged 87, who died on February 14
- Woman, aged 50, who died on February 15
- Man, aged 59, who died on February 15
- Woman, aged 85, who died on February 15
- Woman, aged 92, who died on February 15
- Man, aged 63, who died on February 16
- Woman, aged 99, who died on February 16
- 175 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 43 in serious condition (ICU: 1 off ventilator/13 intubated, PPE: 29)
- Percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination: 70.86%
- 30 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 97,679 diagnostic tests were performed
- 2,549 new cases were identified (total cases 298,235).
- Positivity rate in total exams 2.61%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 6,657 molecular tests were performed
- There were 374 positive cases
- Positivity rate 5.62%
- Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):
- 91,022 rapid antigen tests were performed
- 2,175 positive cases occurred
- Positivity rate 2.39%
Tracking:
- 508 molecular tests were performed and 67 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 13.19%)
- 1,276 rapid antigen tests were performed and 88 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 6.9%)
Private initiative:
- 1,952 molecular tests were performed, 255 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 13.06%)
- 43,719 rapid antigen tests were performed, 1,230 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 2.81%)
Through the programmes of the Ministry of Health, 47,303 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 945 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 24,259 rapid screening tests identified 658 positive cases (positivity rate 2.71%)
Education
- Secondary Education: 12,923 rapid screening tests identified 104 positive cases (positivity rate 0.8%)
- Test-to-Stay: 5,623 rapid antigen tests were performed and 76 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 1.35%)
- Special Schools: 245 rapid antigen tests were performed and no positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0%)
Other
- Nursing homes: 1,155 rapid antigen tests were performed, 17 positive cases identified (positivity rate 1.47%)
- Closed structures: 1,730 rapid antigen tests were performed, 2 new cases were identified (positivity rate 0.12%).
- Government Agencies: 92 rapid antigen tests were performed and no positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0%)
