The Ministry of Health announces that today, February 20, 2022:
- No deaths were announced.
- Total number of deaths with a final cause of COVID-19: 823.
- 162 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 38 in serious condition (ICU: 1 off ventilator/12 intubated, PPE: 25)
- Percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination: 66.67%
- 26 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 86,413 diagnostic tests were performed
- 1,794 new cases were identified (total cases 306,219).
- Positivity rate in total exams 2.08%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 7,091 molecular tests were performed
- 173 positive cases occurred
- Positivity rate 2.44%
- Total number of RapidTest tests:
- 79,322 rapid antigen tests were performed
- 1,621 positive cases occurred
- Positivity rate 2.04%
Tracking:
- 1,228 rapid antigen tests were performed and 52 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 4.23%)
Private initiative:
- 1,224 molecular tests were performed, 126 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 10.29%)
- 28,884 rapid antigen tests were performed, 732 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 2.53%)
Through the health ministry's programs, 50,438 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 889 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 47,119 rapid detection tests detected 826 positive cases (positivity rate 1.75%)
Other
- Homes of well-being: 52 rapid antigen tests were carried out, no positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0%)
- Closed structures: 2,039 rapid antigen tests were performed; 11 new cases were identified (positivity rate 0.54%).
