A large protest rally is taking place today at 15:00 at the entrance of Chlorakas for the unbearable situation created by foreigners illegally staying in the community and the surrounding area.
The event is organized by citizens' groups and institutions of Chlorakas, after the unprecedented incidents that took place last Tuesday night. The organizers with their announcement invite to participate in the protest and the residents of the neighbouring communities of Emba, Kissonerga, Lemba and Tala.
"It is our duty to protect our families, our homes and the place where we live," a statement reads. "We are waiting for you to send a thunderous message to all those who cannot impose order."
The event, as it is emphasized, will be peaceful and all measures against the pandemic will be reverently observed.
