At the level of Urban Planning, there is now the issue of upgrading the Kato Pafos-Coral Bay road. A meeting was recently held for this purpose in the presence of the preliminary environmental study designer, the designer of the revised master plan of the area, the officers of the Town Planning and representatives of the Municipality of Pegeia.
Present at the meeting was also the MP of Pafos of DISY, Charalambos Pazaros, who, speaking to "F", said that the representatives of the various sections involved in the improvement of the road axis informed about the progress and actions of their section and about the problems that exist. As was evident from the meeting, stressed the MP of Pafos of DISY, there is a willingness from all stakeholders to work to overcome the problems. With proper cooperation and coordination of our actions, he said, the goal of implementing the road as set by all the services involved is constantly approaching its achievement.
"As I said before the elections," Mr. Pazaros said, "this road is one of my big goals and I will make every effort to build it. This road is a key tourist road for Pafos and it is unacceptable for 20 years to be still in the discussion of upgrading it. My intention is to constantly monitor its progress until the goal is achieved."
