PAPHOS - ITEMS FROM BURGLARIES AND THEFTS - POLICE SEEKING IDENTIFICATION BY OWNERS

Photographs of property and objects, such as jewellery and power tools, which have been found and it is being investigated whether they have been stolen from residences, premises, vehicles, vehicles, and persons, are released by the Police, for the purpose of possible identification by the owners of the property and objects.

Among those found there is a large number of gold, silverware and other jewellery, wristwatches, collectible coins, mobile phones and laptop computers, including tablets, a television, electrical appliances, bags and sunglasses, as well as electrical and other tools.

The Police appeals to citizens who believe that their property that has been stolen or lost, may be found in the objects shown in the photographs, such as contacting the Pafos ICF, the telephone number 26-806021 or the Citizen's Hotline at the telephone number 1460 or the Police Station of their area.

The property in question was found by members of the Police on Saturday, January 22, 2022, during a search of a residence in the Pafos district, where a 33-year-old man was staying, suspected of a number of cases of house burglaries and thefts, as well as car thefts. The investigation was conducted in the presence of the 33-year-old and 29-year-old who was also staying at the residence.

After the two suspects did not give adequate explanations for the possession of those found, they were arrested by the members of the Police and detained by court orders, for investigation of the cases of burglary and theft and a case of illegal possession of property.

The possibility that the property found may be the product of theft is being investigated, with the Pafos ICF conducting examinations to identify those found by their owners.
