Of particular interest are the administrators of the new Explore Pafos application on the part of the local population and other Cypriots for the use of this instrument. It is another useful digital tool for every visitor and the local resident of Pafos to get to know the hidden and obvious beauties of the city of the Goddess of Aphrodite and to find easily and simply any information they are looking for.
The explore Pafos digital tourist guide, created by the Municipality of Pafos, offers the opportunity to anyone interested to discover in a quick, easy and attractive way every corner of the city and to digitally tour its picturesque newly renovated squares, the urban and cultural infrastructure areas, the archaeological monuments and the sights of Pafos. With rich photographic material, explanatory texts and useful information, it presents the historical past and the modern face of the city through the history, culture, environment, activities and services offered today by the birthplace of Aphrodite.
Already, according to the competent authorities, the new digital application seems to be the object of intense activity within Pafos, apparently mainly from young ages, a fact that creates the optimism that it will have a practical impact on a wider level of activity in many areas of Pafos.
Explore Pafos is available in four languages, Greek, English, Russian, German and Hebrew. French and Arabic will soon be added. Interested parties can download a relevant mobile application that includes for some points of interest and browsing using augmented reality (AR button).
The digital platform was created within the framework of the Smart Cities project of the Interreg V-A Cooperation Programme "Greece – Cyprus 2014-2020".
