Without the established procession but with the splendour imposed by tradition, the Holy Epiphany will be celebrated in the city of Paphos.
According to a relevant announcement of the Municipality of Paphos, the Divine Liturgy and the Great Sanctification of epiphany will be celebrated in the Church of Agioi Anargyroi, head of the Metropolitan Bishop of Paphos Georgios and in the presence of the Authorities of the city and district of Paphos.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Holy Clergy and the representatives of the Authorities will go to the Port of Kato Paphos, where the Ceremony of The Consecration of the Waters will be performed by the Metropolitan of Paphos on the central dock, with diving for the holy cross.
The non-realization of the established procession to the Port was decided in compliance with the measures provided for in the Decrees of the Ministry of Health to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
The Municipality of Paphos and the Holy Metropolis of Paphos, which are organizing the celebration of the great Feast this year, call on the faithful to scrupulously observe the measures set out in the health protocols.
