CYPRUS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA - PREMIER 3 - 19-21 January - Nicosia, Paphos & Limassol

 Filenews 14 January 2022

The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra enters dynamically in the new year with the "Premier 3" concert series in Nicosia, Paphos and Limassol. THE CYSO collaborates with three outstanding French artists: conductor Patrick Gallois, brilliant harpist Anaïs Gaudemard and flutist Virginie Bove - the subcortical flute of our orchestra. The two soloists will join forces in Mozart's seductive Concerto for flute, harp and orchestra. One of the best harpists of the new generation internationally, Anaïs Gaudemard will also perform Claude Debussy's Sacred and Secular Dances, which are distinguished for their refined liveliness and musical "archaism". The program will close with the Pancyprian premiere of The Symphony No. 2 (Fantaisie symphonique) by Kurt Weill, whose pioneering musical ideas shook Europe in the 1920s.

Anaïs Gaudemard is considered one of the best harpists and brilliant musicians of the new generation. She is a soloist of international recognition, sought after for her charismatic and generous presence on stage, the great sensitivity of her playing and her rich sound. The French harpist has won important awards including the 1st Prize at the prestigious International Harp Competition 2012 in Israel and the 2nd Prize & Prize of the Munich Chamber Orchestra at the ARD Competition in Munich in 2016.
