Over one million were the new coronavirus cases worldwide and more than 4,000 deaths in the last 24 hours according to the count of the website Worldometer.
In total, 289,720,174 cases and 5,457,517 deaths have been recorded while 254,202,583 people have recovered from the disease.
During yesterday, 1,188,471 cases and 4,146 deaths were recorded worldwide.
The U.S. has the sad lead in cases and deaths with 55,864,519 and 847,162 respectively. They are followed by India with 34,889,132 cases and 481,770 deaths, Brazil with 22,291,507 cases and 619,139 deaths, the UK with 13,100,458 cases and 148,778 deaths and Russia with 10,519,733 cases and 309,707 deaths.
