Unimaginable tragedy in Souni - Zanatzia in the Limassol district, where during a hunting expedition a minor accidentally shot his 45-year-old father in the head. The 45-year-old's death was instantaneous.
Based on the evidence under investigation so far, the fatal shooting appears to have been the result of an accident, as the 17-year-old is an inexperienced hunter. The minor reportedly tried to shoot a partridge, but he misfired and shot his father in the head.
A strong police force rushed to the spot, which was informed by other hunters who were near the scene of the accident and heard the voices and tears of the victim's 17-year-old son.
The Police are conducting investigations in order to ascertain the exact circumstances of the accident.
The Deputy Spokesman of the ADE Limassol, Marinos Vassiliou, said that two shotguns were found at the scene and added that the necessary tests are being carried out to determine the exact causes of the tragedy, despite the fact that the initial estimates refer to a random shooting by the minor.
Mr. Vassiliou finally mentioned that the Police are investigating a hunting accident and the case will be investigated as causing death by negligence.
