Two persons, a 34-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, were spotted by Paphos Police driving under the influence of drugs in Paphos.
Shortly after midnight yesterday, members of the "Z" group stopped for inspection a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old unemployed foreigner, a permanent resident of Paphos. In the documents of the vehicle that was made, it was found that the driver was not covered by a safety certificate. A preliminary examination of her drug detection found that she had drugs in her saliva. She then gave an additional sample which, after being sealed, will be sent to the General Chemical State Laboratory for laboratory analysis. Her car was searched without anything illegal being found.
In the second case, members of the Pafos Traffic Police while conducting checks on Apostolou Pavlou Avenue stopped for inspection a car driven by a 38-year-old man who lives permanently in Paphos. In a preliminary drug examination that was carried out on him, drugs were found in his saliva. He then gave an additional saliva sample that after being sealed will be sent to the General Chemical State Laboratory for laboratory analysis. A search of the 38-year-old's vehicle followed without anything being found.
The Pafos Traffic Police is investigating both cases.
