Three cases of the OMIKRON mutation were also detected in Cyprus and specifically in Limassol.
According to a relevant announcement by the Ministry of Health, after the sequence of samples of positive cases made by the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, three cases were identified with the mutation "Omikron".
All cases are related to a travel history and were identified in the Limassol district while none of the three cases require hospitalization.
