For the 5th consecutive year, the "Little Heroes" Foundation is organizing the event "We swim again this year with our friends OYK for our own Little Heroes", on Saturday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m. along Limassol beach.
The event has now become an institution, with the practical support of the Cyprus Police, the CYjetsky H.F. and the Pancyprian Sports Association of Small Boat Owners. This is an effort of financial and psychological support and support to the children who are fighting their own battle in the Paediatric Oncology Department of the Makarios Hospital and their families, having on their side as all of us as allies.
The starting point is Akti Olympion (Thalassiaki café), where the initiator of the Foundation of the Little Heroes Loucas Fourlas, along with the team of reservist frogs, the scuba divers of the Cyprus Police, the Minister of Defence Charalambos Petrides, the assistant Attorney General Savvas Angelidis, the Mayor of Nicosia Konstantinos Yiorkadjis, the Founder of the Paediatric Oncology Unit at the Makarios Hospital Dr. Loizos Loizou and the Ambassador of the Elpida Foundation George Angelopoulos will swim to the dock of the old Limassol port. Their escorts until the finish will be the Jet Ski team and children from the Pancyprian Athletic Association of Small Boat Owners (Laser type)
Alongside the swimming, the "Love March" will take place along the beach to the dock of the old Limassol port. The start for swimming will be given by the Chief of Police Stelios Papatheodorou and the start for the "March of Love" will be given by the President of the House of Representatives Annita Demetriou.
It is worth noting that the police helicopter will also make its appearance at the event, which will make the throws of divers of the Special Missions Rescuers Team, at the beginning and finish, near the dock of the old port.

At the beginning and end of the route there will be various products for sale such as caps, calendars, charms, stickers for the mobile phone, to support the Little Heroes.
The event will follow all the measures required according to the protocol of the Ministry of Health, against the spread of COVID-19.
