Chilling are the details behind the double murder of the two Russian women, Alraeesi Khaiat, 43, and Mariia Gazibagandova, 33. The 32-year-old Syrian cynically confessed, 18 days after the double crime, that he executed them with three shots because he heard them mocking him.
His shocking reports froze even the investigators, who heard how coldly he acted. After he killed them, he wrapped them in nylon, hid them in the basement of the cottage in Kato Amiantos, he picket up two Syrian workers, who, he claims, he accidentally found in Limassol and helped him with a compressor to make a pit two meters deep, which he then turned into a grave for the two unfortunate women.
The confession of the 32-year-old Syrian came on Saturday at 10 o'clock in the evening, when under the weight of the data from the telecommunications data that betrayed his moves, the purchases he made with the credit of a Russian woman and the remorse he felt, he broke in the interrogation at the IOC of Larnaca. At 11 o'clock in the evening investigators and assailant set off for Amiantos to indicate where he buried the two women.
As he confessed, he had returned at 7 a.m. on November 17 from hunting at the cottage and when he approached he heard the two Russian women speaking in his language (they know Arabic since one of them also has Syrian citizenship), mocking him and laughing because they took the money from him. Then, as he claims, he clouded his mind and after lying down prone he fired from a distance of 10 meters two shots at one of them in the chest and then killed the second. Then he took a shovel, cleaned the blood and then carried them to the basement of the dwelling. As he mentioned, from that day he did not sleep, while he appears repentant.
Police Chief Stelios Papatheodorou told "F": "I wish we could have prevented this horrible crime. Unfortunately, when we were told that the two Russian women had disappeared, they were already dead." He said that a very important role for the confession of the perpetrator was played by the telecommunications data collected on the basis of another legal framework with the assistance of the Legal Service.
