The Ministry of Health, judging that the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks and taking into account the direct and indirect effects on the health and well-being of children from COVID-19, proceeds to vaccinate children aged 5-11 years and these vaccines have a different dosage compared to those administered to people aged 12 years and older (10 micrograms compared to 30 micrograms). In a related study, it was estimated that it is 90.7% effective in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 disease.
In connection with the most common side effects in children aged 5 to 11 years, it has been observed that they are similar to those of people aged 12 years and older. They are usually mild or moderate and improve within a few days of vaccination.
