CLARIFICATION BY MINISTRY OF HEALTH REGARDING VACCINE/SAFE PASS REQUIREMENTS

The Ministry of Health reminds citizens that from December 15, 2021, only people aged 12 years and over who have received a dose of the vaccine will be able to enter the following areas, with additional prerequisite to possess a negative result of a laboratory PCR test or a rapid antigen test.

  • social events (weddings, baptisms)

  • indoor and outdoor courts
  • theatres, amphitheatres, cinemas, showrooms 

  • nightclubs, discotheques, music and dance venues and dining areas (including dining areas in shopping malls and hotels)

Exceptions

  • Professional athletes, employees of sports facilities and people aged 12 to 17, who train or compete in sports grounds, are excluded.

  • Employees in the above areas are excluded by presenting a negative PCR laboratory test or rapid antigen test.

  • Children aged 6-11 years are excluded, provided that they possess SafePass (negative rapid test with a duration of 7 days) while for children under 6 years of age there is no restriction.

  • It is excluded from the necessary condition that people who have completed their vaccination regimen with two doses in case of double-dose vaccines and in case of one dose of single dose vaccine and in case of a dose of single-dose vaccine and that a period of 7 months has not elapsed, are exempt from the prerequisite.

  • People who received the booster/3rd vaccine dose are exempt from the prerequisite that people who received the booster/3rd dose of vaccine possess a negative result of a PCR test or rapid test.

  • People who have contracted Covid-19 within the last 6 months are exempt from the prerequisite to possess a negative result of a PCR laboratory test or rapid antigen test (rapid test).

  • In all other areas not mentioned above, the existing provisions continue to apply based on the decrees.

  • For tourists, the provisions of the decree that are in force apply.

2. As of 18 December, persons for whom the period of 7 months from the second dose of vaccination for two dose vaccines and one dose for the single-dose vaccine has elapsed, for SafePass purposes, should undergo a 72-hour PCR laboratory test or a 48-hour rapid antigen detection test for persons aged 18 years and over.

  • The Rapid test will be provided free of charge through the sampling points of the Ministry of Health.

  • People who hold a certificate of illness with Covid-19 are excluded, provided that the period of 6 months has not expired.

SafePass Requirements by age:

  • 0-5 years old there is no restriction.
  • 6-11 years old, a negative laboratory test is required on a weekly basis (excluding children of 6 years who attend pre-primary education).

SafePass Requirements by age:

  • 12-17 years of age, a negative laboratory test lasting 72 hours(PCR or rapid antigen rapid test)is required.

Clarifications for Theatres, amphitheatres, cinemas, showrooms

The operation of theatres, amphitheatres, cinemas and theatres shall be governed by the following conditions:

(a) with a maximum of 300 persons indoors or 350 persons outdoors, in compliance with the distancing measures set out in the health protocols and in compliance with the following:

  • by showing either a valid certificate of comprehensive vaccination for the COVID-19 disease, or a valid certificate of recovery from the COVID-19 disease, or

  • by showing, for persons aged 6 to 11 years, a negative PCR laboratory test or a rapid antigen test for COVID-19, sampled within 7 days, or

  • by showing, for persons who cannot be vaccinated due to a medical problem, the medical certificate issued by the Ministry of Health and a negative PCR laboratory test for covid-19 disease or a rapid antigen detection test with sampling carried out within 7 days,

  • or by demonstration, for persons who have been vaccinated with at least one dose of vaccine for the COVID-19 disease, a vaccination certificate and a negative PCR laboratory test with sampling taken within 72 hours, or a rapid antigen test, with sampling carried out within 48 hours in the case of persons aged 18 years or over, and within 72 hours, in the case of persons under the age of 18:

Provided that, for persons under the age of 6 years, the demonstration of a negative laboratory PCR test or a rapid antigen detection test for the COVID-19 disease is not required, or

(b) with a completeness of 75% of the capacity of the premises provided that all persons present either a valid certificate of comprehensive vaccination for the COVID-19 disease, or a valid certificate of recovery from the COVID-19 disease:

It is voted that, and provided that the total maximum number of persons is not exceeded, persons under the age of 6 years, persons aged 6 to 11 years, who demonstrate a negative laboratory test (PCR) or a rapid antigen detection test for the COVID-19 disease, with sampling carried out within 7 days, persons aged 12 to 18 years, are excluded, who have received at least one dose of the vaccine demonstrate a negative laboratory test (PCR) or a rapid antigen detection test for COVID-19, with sampling carried out within 72 hours, as well as persons who cannot be vaccinated due to a medical problem who present the medical certificate issued by the Ministry of Health as well as a negative laboratory test (PCR) or a rapid antigen detection test for his disease COVID-19, with sampling carried out within 7 days.
