No deaths of patients with a final cause of death were recorded, COVID-19, and therefore the total number of deaths remains 607, according to a health ministry announcement.
Of the 93,840 tests for the detection of the disease by the molecular method (PCR) and the antigen rapid test performed in total, 662 (positivity rate: 0.71%) were identified for new cases of the disease.
- 138 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, of which 47 are in serious condition. 78.25% of hospitalized patients have no history of vaccination.
- 5 post-COVID patients who have ceased to be infectious (declassified cases), continue to be hospitalized intubated in a serious condition due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.

A. Deaths from COVID-19:
No deaths of COVID-19 patients were recorded. Therefore, the total number of deaths with a final cause of COVID-19 remains 607, of which:
- 389 men (64.1%), and
- 218 women (35.9%).
The average age of those voted by the disease is 75.8 years.
B. Hospitalized:
In total, 138 covid-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC, of which 47 are in serious condition or in MAF conditions.
Of the 47 patients who are in serious condition, 17 are intubated, 4 are hospitalized in an off-ventilator Intensive Care Unit and 26 are in an Increased Care Unit.

C. Positive cases of COVID-19 (PCR test and rapid antigen test):
Of the 93,840 diagnoses performed, 9,817 were made by the molecular method (PCR) and 84,023 by the antigen rapid test method, 662 cases of COVID-19 were identified, resulting as follows:
- 120 cases from 1,785 samples taken through the process of contact tracing of already confirmed cases.
- 8 cases from 3,396 samples taken in the context of passenger screening at Larnaka and Paphos Airports.
- 131 cases from 4,140 samples taken through private initiative.
- 11 cases from 326 samples taken from the Microbiology Laboratories of the General Hospitals.
- 280 cases from 51,513 samples tested by the antigen rapid test method in private clinical laboratories and pharmacies.
- 109 cases from 32,510 samples tested by the antigen rapid test method through the Ministry of Health's programme.
- 3 cases from 168 samples taken in the framework of the referral program by Personal Doctors and control of special teams through the Public Health Clinics.
In addition, the following tests were carried out, without the detection of a case:
- 0 cases from 2 samples taken as part of checks in closed facilities.
