UNSG Antonio Guterres has announced the appointment of Canadian Colin Stewart as the new Special Representative and head of UNFICYP, and will also perform the role of Deputy Special Adviser to the UNSG on Cyprus.
According to a statement issued by the UN last night, Mr Stewart will replace the Canadian Elizabeth Spehar, for whose tenure Antonio Guterres expresses his gratitude.
