Filenews 7 November 2021 - by Dora Christodoulou

The employees of the Municipality of Pafos are entering a two-hour work stoppage next Thursday from 10.00am-12.00m protesting against the non-compliance of the Municipality with the decisions of the Department of Labour Relations of the Ministry of Labour, as well as for violation of the terms of the Collective Agreement of the staff and relevant legislations.

According to a joint announcement by the trade unions SEK, PEO and DEOK Pafos, the trade union movement has exhausted all the margins of consultation through the institutionalized procedures of labour relations in force in our country, but finds that the Municipality of Pafos refuses to respect the need for the operation of regulated labour relations in the Municipality.

The staff of the Municipality of Pafos and the trade unions that represent it, it is stressed in the announcement, apologize to the citizens for any problems that will be created by the work stoppage, claiming that they had no choice.
