UPDATE - ROAD NOW OPEN AGAIN
Closed from 10.00 am today, both lanes of the Pafos - Limassol highway, from the exit to Avdimou up to the height of the village of Paramali, in the direction to Limassol, for the purpose of moving the crane vehicle that since last night remains immobilized on the road, due to mechanical failure.
At the point of immobilization of the crane, shortly after the exit to Paramali, there is a crew that with the assistance of members of the Police, makes efforts to move the vehicle.
The traffic from Paphos to Limassol is channeled through the exit in Avdimou, towards the old Pafos - Limassol road, where through the British Bases, passing vehicle drivers will be able to return to the motorway from its entrance in the area of Episkopi.
The entrance to the Pafos - Limassol motorway in Paramali will also remain closed due to the works for the movement of the crane vehicle. Traffic from Paramali to Limassol is also channelled via the old Paphos – Limassol road, from where drivers can enter the motorway from the entrance to Episkopi.
The Police call on passing drivers moving in the area to be careful and to comply with the instructions of the members of the Police who are on the highway to provide assistance and regulate traffic.
