The Council of Ministers decided to reduce the VAT rate from 19% to 5% on EAC accounts for vulnerable groups of the population. The reduction concerns the next six months.

At the same time, in statements made after the Ministerial Meeting, the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Energy announced that within the next few days a price monitoring platform will be put in place, so that a cap will be set where needed.
Support for workers
As the YPIK said, the measures are part of the efforts to address the inflationary wave and added that it has been decided to allocate funds to support the workers. In particular, €70 million. through the ATA for employees in the public sector and €130 million. for wage support to the private sector.
