Another large-scale corrective intervention is underway by the Municipality of Paphos in the commercial centre of the city. In the heart of the traditional "bazaar", the crews of the municipal authority have begun the wide removal of shelters and other housing structures by businesses, in order to upgrade the image of the area and make it aesthetically and functionally worthy of other improvements made in the area in recent years.
In entire streets in the commercial centre of Pafos, the image refers to a huge construction site, since tons of entire building and other related materials have already been removed from the buildings and are being transported out of the centre, to be followed by work on the "facelift" of the area that will give the new look to the commercial heart of the city.
