On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Saturday, September 18, 2021 and for a period of about three (3) months, at the Kornos Junction, construction works will be carried out on the new Kornos exit on the highway, in the direction of Limassol. During the works, the left lane, after the exit of Kornos on the highway, in the direction of Limassol, will be closed for 400m. about and the traffic to Limassol will be diverted to the right lane. On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Wednesday, April 14, 2021, improvement works will be carried out at the Kornos junction. The works will last 15 months and concern on the one hand the improvement of the existing branches of the junction on the west side of the highway, for entering the highway from Korno / Pyrga to Nicosia and for exit from Limassol to Korno / Pyrga, and on the other hand the creation of a new entrance side, from Korno / Pyrga to Limassol.
Also on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, in the direction of Nicosia, on Saturday, October 16, 2021 and for a period of about two (2) months, at the Kornos Junction, works will be carried out to improve the existing exit from Limassol to Kornos. During the works, the left lane before the exit of Kornos to the highway in the direction of Nicosia will be closed for about 400m. about and the traffic to Nicosia will be diverted to the right lane. On the Larnaca-Nicosia and Larnaca-Paralimni Airport highways, on Tuesday 16/11/2021 until Friday 19/11/2021, between the hours of 08:30 - 15:00, bridge maintenance works will be carried out. During the works, the following sections will be closed: On the Larnaca-Paralimni Airport highway, one lane will be partially closed, after the exit to Aradippou to the roundabout "Rizoelias" in the direction of Paralimni, for a length of 50m. approximately, each time the traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.On the Larnaca-Nicosia highway, one traffic lane will be partially closed, inside the "Rizoelias" roundabout from both directions and the traffic will be channelled to the adjacent traffic lane.
On the Larnaca-Paralimni Airport highway, from 8 to 30 November 2021, every day, except weekends, between the hours of 08:00 and 14:30, tree pruning works will be carried out by the Forest Department. During the works, it will be partially closed in a length of 300m. approximately at each time the support of the highway from the roundabout of Larnaca Airport to the roundabout of Rizoelia from both directions, alternately. On the Paphos-Limassol highway, in the period 15/11/2021 - 19/11/2021, between the hours 08:00 - 19:00, maintenance works will be carried out in the tunnel of the highway, in the direction of Limassol and in the period 22/11 / 2021 - 26/11/2021 in the direction of Paphos, from the Department of Electromechanical Services. During the works, the tunnel will be closed and the traffic before the tunnel of the highway will be channelled to the opposite traffic flow which will operate in two-way traffic. In Limassol, in the section of the Limassol Bypass Road, from the Mouttagiakas exit to the uneven junction of the New Limassol Hospital, from 17/11/2021 to 30/11/2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 16:00 except Sunday, sweeping work will be carried out. During the works, the foundation and in some cases the slow traffic lane of the Limassol Bypass Road as well as the connecting roads of the roundabouts, will be partially closed in a length of approximately 200 m, in one direction only, at any time, and the traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. In the province of Limassol, in a section of the Parekklisia - Kellaki road on Grigori Afxentiou Street, from Monday 01/11/2021 - 31/12/2021, a Private Contracting Company will carry out the installation of a Pipeline for the construction of a Sewerage Network. of SALA. During the works, one lane of the road will be closed in a length of approximately 120 m and the traffic will be managed alternately with the operation of a mobile system of temporary traffic lights. In Strovolos, on Troodos Avenue, from its junction with Iosif X ”Iosif Street to its junction with Konstantinoupoleos Street, from Monday 15/11/2021 until Friday 19/11/2021, from 21:00 in the evening until 06:00 in the morning of the next day, road repair works will be carried out. During the works, the Avenue will be closed in sections of 1000m. about every time and the traffic will take place through Iosif X ”Iosif and Konstantinoupoleos streets. Also on Troodos Avenue, from its junction with Konstantinoupoleos Street, to its junction with Joseph X ”Joseph Street, in Strovolos, on Monday 22/11/2021 and Tuesday 23/11/2021, from 21:00 in the evening until 06:00 the next morning, road repair works will be carried out. During the works, the avenue will be closed in sections of approximately 1000 meters each time and the traffic will be distributed through Konstantinoupoleos and Iosif X ”Iosif streets.
In the province of Larnaca, in the period 18/10/2021 - 26/11/2021, every day except weekends and public holidays, between the hours of 07:30 - 15:00, on the road Kelia - Trouloi, a pipeline will be laid by the Development Department Water. During the works, one lane will be closed in sections (100m. During the works, part of one lane of the road, from the ‘Choirokoitia reservoir’ to the TAY pumping station in Kofinou, in the direction of Kofinou, will be partially closed in a length of 100m. approximately (with a total length of approximately 850m.) and the traffic will be moved in the adjacent traffic lane, with the use of temporary traffic lights. Also on the old Nicosia-Limassol road, in the context of the construction works of Phase 1 of the road network of the Vasilikos Energy Center, in the period 24/10/2021 - 23/4/2022, the eastern road that connects the road with the port of Vasilikos will is closed to traffic.
