On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Saturday, September 18, 2021 and for a period of about three (3) months, at the Kornos Junction, construction works will be carried out on the new Kornos exit on the highway, in the direction of Limassol. During the works, the left lane, after the exit of Kornos on the highway, in the direction of Limassol, will be closed for 400m. about and the traffic to Limassol will be diverted to the right lane. On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Wednesday, April 14, 2021, improvement works will be carried out at the Kornos junction. The works will last 15 months and concern on the one hand the improvement of the existing branches of the junction on the west side of the highway, for entering the highway from Korno / Pyrga to Nicosia and for exit from Limassol to Korno / Pyrga, and on the other hand the creation of a new entrance side, from Korno / Pyrga to Limassol.
Also on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, in the direction of Nicosia, on Saturday, October 16, 2021 and for a period of about two (2) months, at the Kornos Junction, works will be carried out to improve the existing exit from Limassol to Kornos. During the works, the left lane before the exit of Kornos to the highway in the direction of Nicosia will be closed for about 400m. about and the traffic to Nicosia will be diverted to the right lane. On the Larnaca-Paralimni Airport highway, from 8 to 30 November 2021, every day, except weekends, between the hours of 08:00 and 14:30, tree pruning works will be carried out by the Forest Department. During the works, it will be partially closed in a length of 300m. approximately at each time the support of the highway from the roundabout of Larnaca Airport to the roundabout of Rizoelia in both directions, alternately. On the Paphos-Limassol highway, in the period 15/11/2021 - 19/11/2021, between the hours 08:00 - 19:00, maintenance works will be carried out in the tunnel of the highway, in the direction of Limassol and in the period 22/11 / 2021 - 26/11/2021 in the direction of Paphos, from the Department of Electromechanical Services. During the works, the tunnel will be closed and the traffic before the tunnel of the highway will be channelled to the opposite traffic flow which will operate in two-way traffic. In Nicosia, on Themistokli Dervi Street, on Saturday 13/11/2021, between the hours of 06: 00-15: 00, works will be carried out for the construction of an apartment building. During the works, the two lanes of traffic on Themistoklis Dervi Street in the direction of the traffic lights Gavriilidis to Nicosia between the lanes Nikokreontos and Tefkrou will be closed and the traffic will be channelled in one lane of the opposite direction. In Latsia, on Giannou Kranidioti Avenue, in the period 8/11/2021 - 18/11/2021, between the hours of 07: 00-16: 00, construction works of a rainwater drainage system will be carried out. During the works, part of one lane of the road, from the ‘Choirokoitia reservoir’ to the TAY pumping station in Kofinou, in the direction of Kofinou, will be partially closed in a length of 100m. approximately (with a total length of approximately 850m.) and the traffic will be moved in the adjacent traffic lane, with the use of temporary traffic lights.Also on the old Nicosia-Limassol road, in the context of the construction works of Phase 1 of the road network of the Vasilikos Energy Centre, in the period 24/10/2021 - 23/4/2022, the eastern road that connects the road with the port of Vasilikos will is closed to traffic.
