Three vaccination centres operate in Paphos, with the Director of Pafos General Hospital Dr. Spyros Georgiou noting that on Monday the traffic has been very high.
In his statements, Dr. Georgiou said that two centres operating in Paphos are by appointment and one is without an appointment. At the walk in vaccination centre operating at Paphos General Hospital, its opening hours have been extended from 08:00 to 18:00 in the afternoon daily and on Saturday from 08:00 to 13:00, Dr. Georgiou.
Asked about this, the Director of Pafos General Hospital said that the number of visitors to the vaccination centres in Paphos, both at the waIk in centre and at the other two centres, is very high and expressed his satisfaction, as well as the hope that this increasing flow will continue in the coming days.
Dr. Georgiou noted that because there is an increase in cases, he called on people to proceed with their vaccination. Unfortunately, he noted, at the present time there is an increase in cases in the Pafos district, while 21 patients are currently hospitalized in the COVID-19 ward of Paphos General Hospital. We hope, he said, that there will be a drop in cases and hospitalizations.
In addition, he noted that Pafos General Hospital is full of patients and continues its normal work. He also urged the Accident and Emergency Department not to bring people who do not need immediate treatment.
It is noted that on Saturday 20/11/21, 329 vaccinations were carried out at the vaccination centres of Paphos.
