An episodic chase occurred shortly after 14:00 noon on Friday by members of the OPE Limassol.
A Force patrol signalled a driver to stop for a check, however, the latter developed speed and fled, resulting in a chase.
At some point, in the area of Episkopi, the driver rammed the patrol car with his vehicle, causing some damage. The two members of the Force were slightly injured in the collision.
According to the Police, he is a person well-known to the authorities while a court warrant was pending against him for not being present in a court proceedings and he was wanted. His arrest followed and he is expected to be charged with the traffic offences.
