In an effort to encourage the vaccination of beneficiaries against COVID-19, in order to develop the maximum possible protection of the population, after a technical upgrade made at the Vaccination Portal, from Friday, October 15, there will be the possibility to schedule an appointment for vaccination with both the 1st dose and the 3rd dose.
Specifically, as far as the arrangement of appointments for new vaccinations (1st dose) is concerned, the Vaccination Portal will be accessible to all people aged 12 years and over.
In relation to the vaccination with the 3rd dose, access to the Vaccination Portal has people aged 65 years and over and provided that a period of six months has elapsed since their vaccination with the 2nd dose.
Finally, it is recalled that for the administration of any dose of vaccine, citizens can also be served at the walk-in vaccination centres that operate nationwide. [Paphos is Paphos General Hospital - Mon to Thurs 8am to 1pm]
As of yesterday, the 3rd dose was administered to 26,097 people. The vaccination rate of the adult population at least with the 1st dose is at 81.5% and of the fully vaccinated at 79%. In the age group of 16-17 years, 41.5% received the 1st dose and 38.8% completed their vaccination regimen. Finally, in the ages of 12-15 years, at least the 1st dose received 27.4% and 24.6% received both doses, completing their vaccination.
