On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Saturday, September 18, 2021 and for a period of about three (3) months, at the Kornos Junction, construction works will be carried out on the new Kornos exit on the highway, in the direction of Limassol. During the works, the left lane, after the exit of Kornos on the highway, in the direction of Limassol, will be closed for 400m. about and the traffic to Limassol will be diverted to the right lane. On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Wednesday, April 14, 2021, improvement works will be carried out at the Kornos junction. The works will last 15 months and concern on the one hand the improvement of the existing branches of the junction on the west side of the highway, for entry on the highway from Korno / Pyrga to Nicosia and for exit from Limassol to Korno / Pyrga, and on the other hand the creation of a new entrance side, from Korno / Pyrga to Limassol.
Also on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Monday 9/8/2021 and for a period of about two (2) months, at the Kornos junction, works will be carried out to improve the existing entrance from Kornos to the highway in the direction of Nicosia. During the works, the entrance from Korno to the highway in the direction of Nicosia will be closed and the traffic to Nicosia will be channelled to the Sias junction through the old Nicosia-Limassol road. Works on the Nicosia-Limassol highway will be carried out in the section from the height of the roundabout GSP. to the height of the exit to the Alhambra, the period 28/9/2021 - 28/10/2021, except Friday, Saturday and Sunday, between the hours 09:00 - 14:00, for replacement of street lighting in both directions of the highway . During the works, in each direction, the right-hand lane will close at a distance of about two kilometres and the traffic will be diverted to the other lanes. In the province of Nicosia, from Monday 19/4/21 and for a period of 6 months, except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, between the hours of 07: 00–17: 00, road repair works will be carried out on roads in various areas. During the execution of the works, one traffic lane will be partially closed in a length of approximately 200 meters and the traffic will be distributed in the other traffic lane, using the "STOP & GO" marking. In Limassol, during the period 20/9/2021 - 7/10/2021, except Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, from 21:00 in the evening until 06:00 in the morning of the next day, on the Limassol bypass road, at section from the Germasogeia roundabout to the exit to Kourri Dam, will be carried out by a private company, replacement works of safety parapet reflectors. During the works, the right lane of 1000m will be closed at any time. about and the traffic will be transferred to the left lane. In Famagusta, from 22/9/2021 at 07:00 in the morning, until 10/10/2021 at 17:00 in the afternoon, on the road Liopetriou - Xylofagou, construction works of water pipes will be carried out by the Department of Water Development . During the above period, part of one lane of the road in the direction from Liopetri to Xylofagou, in two points, in sections, 100 meters long each, will be closed and traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane using traffic light system. On the old Nicosia-Limassol road, in the context of the construction works of the Road Network of the Vasilikos Energy Center, in the period 24/4 / 2021-23 / 10/2021, the eastern road that connects the old Nicosia-Limassol road with the port of Vasilikos will is closed to traffic. During the works, the traffic from and to Vasiliko will be channelled to the respective west road, through Marie, except for vehicles and pedestrians that will move from and to temporary properties for which the appropriate arrangements will be made. Also on the old road Nicosia-Limassol, in the period 23/08/2021 - 15/10/2021, daily except Sundays and public holidays, between the hours of 07:00 - 16:00, construction works of water pipes will be carried out by the Development Department Water. During the works, part of a traffic lane, the road, from the 'Pig Reservoir' to the TAY pumping station in Kofinou, in the direction of Kofinou, will be partially closed in a length of approximately 100 meters (total length 850 meters) and traffic will be in the adjacent lane, using temporary traffic lights. On the road Karvouna - Kyperountas, in the area of the Community Council Kyperountas, in the period 6/9/2021 - 15/10/2021, between the hours 07:30 - 17:00, every day except weekends and holidays, works will be carried out by the Authority Of Cyprus for increasing the electricity load of the Troodos Regional Hospital.
