Steps are being made in order to overcome the problem, stressed President Anastasiades, speaking to department store employees, who were protesting outside the Multipurpose Center of the Municipality of Paphos, assuring them that he is monitoring the developments.
"We are ready for further urgent consideration of the matter, if certain procedures are followed. We cannot violate court orders, as you well know, but we are trying to see how to treat the problem. What we are aiming for is to create jobs and not where there are jobs to see the possibility of unemployment as a result of irregularities or legal obstacles.
Our main concern is to keep you in your jobs, to see how prospects are created in a legal way, in order to avoid the unpleasant things you face. I share your anxieties and concerns, it is human. Others do not have and are looking for jobs, we cannot drive those who have jobs into unemployment. I want to assure you that I will do everything possible," said President Anastasiades.
